Hello, I'm ashereast, you can call me Amy, or Asher.

I was one of those farm kids who spent my days running about cornfields and building forts in the woods. Today I’m very happy to call the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina my home.

Art is totally my thing and I frequently fall down rabbit holes exploring this or that technique, new practice method or creature I just learned about. When a drawing starts to sparkle for me, there is usually some mixture of the mundane embodying the fantastical, or the fantastical within the mundane; a moment between worlds. My work spans a variety of mediums but at its core is a deep joy for looking, learning and creating movement on paper.

I’m a hot drink sipping, plant tending, natural history nerd who loves to dance, try new recipes and find cozy spots to relax.
